The 12th Ministerial Conference of the Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Cooperation was held in Dali, in south-west China's Yunnan Province on September 19th. The Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Cooperation was GMS, the cooperation mechanism among the six countries along the Mekong River, namely China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. The GMS was initiated in 1992 by the Asian Development Bank which plays an important role in this mechanism. Today Mr. Rajat M. Nag, the Director General of Mekong Department ADB will share his view with us.
