Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee left Beijing Wednesday morning for Luoyang, an ancient capital city in central China's Henan Province, to continue his six-day official visit.
In Luoyang, the Indian prime minister will visit the Longmen Grottoes, one of China's three largest grotto complexes, and the White Horse Temple, the renowned Buddhist temple.
Vajpayee arrived in the Chinese capital Sunday evening as guest of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao. It is the first visit to China by an Indian prime minister in 10 years.
During his stay in Beijing, Vajpayee has met with top Chinese leaders, given two speeches and visited Beijing's Forbidden City.
Vajpayee visited China in 1979 as Indian Foreign Minister.
