China Says APEC's Agenda Remains Unchanged

Zhang Qiyue, Spokeswoman for the China Secretariat for APEC 2001 said that the ministers are very serious about the APEC agenda and the economic nature of APEC has not changed.
Zhang Qiyue, Spokeswoman for China Secretariat for APEC 2001,said: "Although it's natural that anti-terrorism was discussed at this morning's ministerial meeting, the economic nature has not changed."
Zhang Qiyue said Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan exchanged views on anti-terrorism with APEC ministers this morning.
Zhang Qiyue also stressed that with the arrival of APEC economic leaders, security measures have become even tighter.
Although she did not mention in detail what kind of measures are being taken, she said that China can guarantee the safety of all APEC economic leaders.
