The National Headquarters of SARS Prevention is requiring that different transportation centers on the Chinese mainland implement measures to monitor the health situation of businessmen and other personnel returning from remote regions.
The plan is aimed at strengthening the management of the supervision and reporting of the SARS epidemic.
The local governments also have the responsibility of implementing the isolation and observation of people exhibiting SARS symptoms.
In addition, people not displaying symptoms but who've arrived from regions affected by the epidemic should have 14 days of preventive medical observation.
The SARS-affected regions are listed as Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, and Inner Mongolia.
