Experts say Traditional Chinese Medicine, or TCM, should become part of the comprehensive treatment of SARS. Huang Mingda of the Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine said TCM should be used in conjunction with Western medicine as part of a national program to treat the disease. A doctor from the Sino－Japanese Friendship Hospital noted the Chinese people have overcome numerous epidemics throughout history with the help of TCM.
