2 suspected SARS cases, 70 foreigners confined in India |

Two Australians suspected of having SARS have been hospitalized in Hyderabad, south-east India, as 70 other foreigners were confined Saturday night to the Young Men Christian Association (YMCA) in Secunderabad as a precautionary measure, local hospital sources said Sunday.
The two Australian youths are member of the 19-member cultural troupe that arrived in the city on May 1 from Thailand via Mumbai and is staying at YMCA. They were admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad following complain of fever and cough, the sources said.
According to hospital sources, blood samples were being sent to the National Institute of Virology in Pune for confirmation of SARS.
However, the X-ray report of both the patients showed that the lungs were clear.
