| China joins ASEAN meeting in Bangkok on ways to fight SARS |

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, who is now in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, will join the leaders of the Association of the Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in dealing with SARS and other regional issues this afternoon.
The Chinese government attaches great importance to the meeting, hoping for joint efforts with Asian countries and regions to prevent, treat and eradicate the killer disease.
