With SARS out of the way, Beijing's public schools are to resume all classes on Monday, two weeks ahead of schedule. The Beijing Education Commission announced the move on Thursday.
Students will begin a five-week summer vacation on July 25 as planned and then return in the autumn for the next school year.
To safeguard the health of students and teachers, schools are required to make full preparations for SARS prevention, including temperature checks, disinfecting facilities, and adequate ventilation.
