Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is continuing his landmark visit to China. Having had talks with Premier Wen Jiabao on Monday, Vajpayee met with the rest of the Chinese leadership Tuesday-President Hu Jintao, Chairman of the Central Military Commission Jiang Zemin, and top legislator Wu Bangguo.
During their talks, Hu Jintao said Vajpayee's visit demonstrates that the Indian government and Vajpayee himself highly value Sino-Indian relations. This is the third meeting between the two heads of states within a month after the consecutive days in St. Petersburg and French resort city of Evian.
Vajpayee also held talks with Jiang Zemin. Jiang said he was pleased with the signing of a number of documents between the two countries following the Wen Jiabao-Vajpayee talks.
