| Health Minister demands vigilance against SARS relapse |

 Chinese Vice Premier and Health Minister Wu Yi says that SARS has been effectively controlled in China, but she warned of the dangers of a relapse of the disease. Wu Yi made the warning at a meeting held by the National SARS Prevention Command Center in Beijing on Monday.
The meeting was held to review the SARS situation in China, summarize the past experiences and map out tasks ahead.
Wu Yi praised the progress made in containing SARS and demanded continued high vigilance against the epidemic. She said effective leadership and close cooperation among different regions are key to today's success.
She stressed that more efforts should be made to build a medical network to monitor and prevent the epidemic. It is still a priority to prevent SARS in rural areas and to raise the general public's awareness towards maintaining a hygienic environment.
