A series of events were held on Saturday in Hong Kong to boost people's confidence in the revitalization of the region's economy following SARS.
Tung Chee Hwa, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, said during a business seminar that the region had a solid base to withstand the challenge of SARS. During the seminar, the Hong Kong SARS victims' foundation donated 1.5 million Hong Kong dollars to the Red Cross Society of China.
Highlight of a series of SARS－related events came when a fund－raising concert was held in Hong Kong's international airport in the evening.
