World Health Organization officials say Beijing has cooperated well with the W-H-O. They say Beijing's release of SARS figures is credible, but more information is needed to lift the travel advisory against the capital.
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry reports that in the 24 hours up to 10 am Thursday, there have been no new SARS cases, however, there are 2 new deaths in the Chinese mainland.
The WHO officials says they have sufficient cooperation with Beijing to control SARS, and that the declining number of cases in China is encouraging and believable. But the WHO officials say that their headquarters might need more information to lift the travel advisory against Beijing.
WHO officials also reminded people of the relapse of SARS in Canada and called for continued efforts to control the disease. They also put forward recommendations for China, such as more analysis of SARS transmission, upgrading the public health system, as well as public vigilance and continued government support.
