| WHO team commends SARS hospital in Beijing suburbs |

The World Heath Organization has inspected the Xiaotangshan Hospital and commended the hospital's professionalism in treating SARS.
On Tuesday morning, a team of WHO experts inspected the 1,000－bed SARS hospital in Beijing's northern suburbs. Donning isolation suits, the inspectors entered the hospital's isolation wards. There they examined the protective measures taken by the medical workers and tested the ventilation and AC systems.
The multi－national team is composed of five experts in ventilation, air－conditioning and infectious diseases. The experts say the fact that none of the medical staff at Xiaotangshan are infected and substantial numbers of patients have recovered proves the effectiveness of the hospital's measures.
