| China, ASEAN cooperate in fight against SARS |

State Supervision and Inspection Administration officials said on Thursday that China will enhance its cooperation with ASEAN nations on SARS prevention and border exit and entry control.
Administration director Li Changjiang said that a meeting, scheduled for June 1 in Beijing, is one of the important measures for the cooperation between China and the ASEAN nations.
The vice－ministerial－level meeting aims to carry out the China－ASEAN Joint Statement issued in April on SARS prevention. Li said China will strengthen border exit and entry control measures to ensure a convenient system for travelers.
China will continue to set up computerized reporting and data mechanisms with respect to epidemic and disease prevention.
