| Taiwan tracks down SARS suspects |

In Taiwan on Monday, social workers carried out a search for two homeless people reported to be showing SARS symptoms.
After doing a routine temperature check of homeless people known to them, two people were sent to hospital as suspected cases. It is not known if these are the original two suspected. Meanwhile, Taiwanese police are still looking for one person who went missing after registering a high temperature and coughing symptoms.
So far, at least eight people in Taiwan have died from SARS and the number of probable and suspected cases has surged to 197 after a raft of infections at two local hospitals.
