| Young volunteers mobilize against SARS |

In this nationwide fight against SARS, the young are playing an important role. They've organized different volunteer activities to cope with difficulties brought by SARS.
In Shanghai, several hundred young people have volunteered to man the SARS information line. The job looks easy, but they all have to answer a couple hundred calls every day. There's no time to think about an aching back or a dry throat.
In Hunan, Anhui and Sichuan, this is the busy season for farming. But many farmers working in other provinces can't get back home. So these youngsters are lending a helping hand. This has taken a load off the minds of the faraway laborers.
In other cities, the young volunteers clean up their communities, and pass out masks and SARS prevention brochures. They also take on the train and bus stations.
In this war without guns, the young people are using love and labor as their weapons to drive out SARS.
