Chinese medical academician Zhong Nanshan told reporters on Saturday that there were still SARS-related problems to deal with, though a series of effective methods had been explored. Zhong is a medical expert who worked closely with the WHO consultants in Guangdong Province.
Zhong said Guangdong Province has pursued effective measures to prevent SARS from spreading, and save SARS sufferers. But experts are still having difficulty improving the cure rate.
Concerning SARS-related research, Zhong stressed that experts should put more emphasis on the study of earlier diagnosis, and the particular avenue of infection. Specifically, the relationship between germs and environment can help to curb the spread of SARS.
