SARS in Beijing still severe: Acting Mayor |

 Beijing had reported 1,347 SARS cases as of 10:00 a.m. April 29, Acting Mayor Wang Qishan said Wednesday.
Wang said at a press conference on SARS control that despite progress made in the battle against severe acute respiratory syndrome （SARS）, the situation in Beijing remains severe.
The number of both diagnosed and suspect SARS cases remains high, and sources of infection has not yet been cut off compelely, he said.
