| Update on SARS statistics for the Chinese mainland |

The Ministry of Health has reported that the Chinese mainland had 3106 confirmed SARS cases as of 10:00 am Beijing time on Monday, with 203 new cases.
The Ministry says that altogether 139 SARS patients have died, while 1,306 others have been discharged from hospital after recovering. In Beijing, the total number of SARS cases reached 1,199. 78 have recovered and 59 have died.
From 10:00 am Sunday to 10:00 am Monday, the Chinese capital reported 96 new SARS cases and 3 more deaths. The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region reported 38 new cases, Shanxi Province 29, and Guangdong Province 13.
