Researching the genome sequencing of the coronavirus believed to be at the foundation of SARS, Chinese scientists have succeeded in locating the part that allows the virus to mutate.
After examining 11 samples of coronavirus collected from China, the United States and Canada, scientists found the samples having a 0.1 percent difference from one another, making it difficult to create a SARS vaccine. Experts are continuing to research the genome sequence of the virus, trying to determine how it defends itself from the human immune system.
