| State Council urges college students & migrant workers to stay put |

In an effort to prevent the spread of SARS, the State Council has issued an urgent circular urging college students and migrant workers in Beijing and other severely infected areas to stay put and keep on studying and working. The circular urges universities to adjust teaching and study methods, as well as to strengthen monitoring and prevention of the epidemic. In the event that a SARS case is detected, working units should provide all possible treatment methods, but are forbidden from sending migrant workers home.
