| HK launches clean－up campaign against SARS |

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) government is organizing a series of clean－up operations throughout the city this weekend to combat the spread of SARS.
The disease has caused worry and concern to the community for over a month. The campaign named “Territory－Wide Cleansing Day” is aimed at involving the whole community and all residents to clean up a great variety of venues from public housing to social and educational institutions and commercial premises.
Secretary for Home Affairs Patrick Ho says the HK SAR government hopes the cleaning－up exercise can be sustained, and that it will turn into an action－oriented campaign which calls upon every Hong Kong citizen to join together to fight the disease.
