Hong Kong and south China's Guangdong Province are strengthening cooperative efforts on SARS control.
At a two－day meeting held in Guangzhou, capital city of Guangdong Province, the two sides agreed to establish an information exchange mechanism which will link government departments, disease prevention and control centers, hospitals and research institutes in Guangdong with their counterparts in Hong Kong.
The two sides also agreed to hold a second meeting in Hong Kong in mid－May.
