China's top party leaders have pledged full support in assisting medical departments to prevent and treat the highly infectious disease, SARS.
At a meeting on Thursday, top CPC leaders urged local governments in affected areas to establish a designated fund to provide poor patients with medical assistance. They also urged health departments across the country to report the cases to the public honestly and raise public awareness in preventing the disease.
