| First Beijing hospital patient recovers from SARS |

Beijing Mayor Meng Xuenong announced on Saturday that the very first SARS patient to be admitted by a hospital in Beijing has recovered. Several members of her family who were also infected afterwards have also recovered. Her parents, however, died. The 26－year－old woman is a native of Shanxi Province in north China. She was involved in the garment business in Guangdong Province before coming to Beijing for treatment.
