Chinese premier visits Beijing SARS hospital |

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao visited Beijing's You'an Hospital earlier Saturday. The facility has been designated to treat SARS patients. Wen Jiabao talked to medical workers on the treatment of SARS and spoke highly of their efforts to contain the disease.
Wen Jiabao visited the You'an Hospital on Saturday afternoon. After visiting the biochemical lab and clinical examination center in the hospital, he talked with doctors and medical experts about SARS treatment.
The premier praised the medical workers' efforts to deal with the deadly and infectious disease and encouraged them to continue work hard to protect people's health.
Wen Jiabao said: "I hope that all medical workers will be committed to protect people's health and continue working hard to curb SARS. It is very important to share your experiences and constantly improve the treatment. I also hope that you will take care to avoid being infected. Only if you keep healthy, can you help patients recover. Allow me to extend my thanks and high respect to you for the excellent job you are doing."
Hospital officials briefed the premier on the development of the SARS treatment. Although the pathogen continues to elude scientists, some effective treatments have been found. Medical workers in the hospital pledged that they will work hard to identify the pathogen and eradicate SARS.
