New CPPCC chairman identifies key tasks |

The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, China's top advisory body, ended its 11-day annual session on Friday.
A whole new line-up has taken the central power of the country's top advisory body. Jia Qinglin, the newly-elected CPPCC chairman, identified three major tasks for the CPPCC to work together with the ruling Chinese Communist Party.
These are: To advance modernization, to achieve national reunification, and to promote world peace and development. Jia hailed a smooth transfer of power of the central government as a milestone and an event of great significance for China's stability and development.
He also commented that this session was a great success.
