| Central Committee of CPC & State Council hails Shanghai Expo 2010 |

 The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council sent a congratulatory letter to Shanghai's World Expo Delegation. They hailed the Country's successful bid to host the World Expo 2010.
The letter said Shanghai, the window of China's opening－up, reform and modernization drive, after unremitting efforts, finally got the right to host the 2010 World Expo. This was not only the result of China's improved international status, increasing influence, and the firm support from people throughout China but also the rapidly growing economy and its remarkably increased comprehensive national strength.
The letter also mentioned that hosting the 2010 World Expo must add new vigor to China's economic construction and social development, and it also can make great contributions for world peace and progress.
The letter expressed complete confidence that Shanghai is capable of hosting a most successful, splendid and unforgettable World Expo.
