| No new SARS case and one death on Chinese mainland |

The Chinese mainland reported no new SARS case and one new death from the disease from 10:00 am June 8 to 10:00 am June 9,the Ministry of Health said Monday. One death was reported in Guangdong Province. Guangdong also reported one suspected case.
Beijing reported neither new SARS case nor death from 10:00 am June 8 to 10:00 am June 9. By 10:00 am June 9, Beijing had reported no new SARS case for more than 6 days.
