| Chinese Health Ministry reports 20 new SARS cases |

There were 20 new severe acute respiratory syndrome （SARS） cases and three new deaths from the disease between 10:00 a.m. May 22 and 10:00 a.m. May 23 on the Chinese mainland, the Ministry of Health reported Friday.
The cumulative SARS cases rose to 5,285, while the number of SARS patients discharged from hospitals and the death toll reached 2,544 and 303 respectively, the ministry said in a daily report.
Beijing reported 15 new SARS cases and two new deaths from the disease from 10:00 a.m. May 22 to 10:00 a.m. May 23, the Ministry of Health said.
