| WHO experts inspect rural areas in Hebei Province |

Two experts from the World Health Organization have made the organization's first inspection of China's rural areas for the prevention and control of SARS.
The experts visited a village in Xushui County of North China's Hebei Province to inspect the SARS monitoring and reporting mechanism there. They called on a farmer who'd been isolated for 15 days after returning from an epidemic area.
They also checked on a local clinic's system of examination and isolation of villagers returning from epidemic areas. The WHO experts commended the local strategy of actively encouraging wide public participation in the prevention campaign. They concluded that local health authorities have established a strict, tight, complex monitoring network.
