| Health Ministry reports 69 new SARS cases |

There were 69 new severe acute respiratory syndrome （SARS） cases and five new deaths between 10:00 a.m. May 10 and 10:00 a.m. May 11 on the Chinese mainland, the Ministry of Health reported Sunday.
The accumulative SARS cases rose to 4,948； the death toll and the number of SARS patients discharged from hospitals, 240 and 1,652, respectively, the ministry said.
While Beijing reported 42 new SARS cases and four deaths from 10:00 a.m. May 10 to 10:00 a.m. May 11, the Ministry of Health said.
