| Beijing hospital gears up for SARS mission |

Patients are continuing to arrive at Xiaotangshan Hospital in northern Beijing, a facility officially designated to treat SARS case. Elsewhere in the capital, the Sino－Japanese Friendship Hospital is getting ready to receive its first influx of SARS patients from other hospitals.
After ten days of preparations and renovations, the Friendship Hospital is now ready for the additional caseload. It has set up 12 SARS wards which can accommodate up to 400 patients at a time. This morning, the hospital administration issued final instructions for the medical mission. Aside from getting ready for the new patients, the hospital has transferred more than 50 SARS patients already in the facility to the newly refurbished SARS wards.
