WHO reports on SARS |

Statistics from the World Health Organization show that the number of new SARS cases around the world has risen less than usual over the last reporting period. The WHO says 4,836 people globally had been confirmed SARS-infected by April 26th.
The WHO has found SARS cases in a total of 28 countries and regions. 293 have been killed by the deadly disease but around 50 percent of victims have recovered and been discharged by hospitals.
