Thailand will propose three initial preventative measures against SARS at this weekend's ASEAN informal summit on the disease in Malaysia.
Thai Public Health Minister Sudarat Keyuraphan said on Tuesday that the three measures include protection in hospitals, quarantining anyone in contact with SARS patients, and watching for potential cases of SARS at all immigration checkpoints.
She said if these measures were taken by all Southeast Asian countries, travel in the region will remain possible without the need for additional medical checks.
