NPC deputies and CPPCC members alike are reacting enthusiastically to the reports delivered by China's top law chiefs earlier this morning.
"Both the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate have made great progress in their work over the past five years. The SPC has made efficiency its top priority in the new century and the SPP has attached great significance to law enforcement," said Zhang Geng, NPC deputy.
"The supervision of law-enforcement, an important function of the NPC, has been strengthened during the past five years. And hearing more reports from relevant government departments will also help us improve this work," said Wang Youjie, NPC deputy.
"There's been great improvement in the expertise level of our law-enforcement teams. And we've done a lot to curb corruption," said Xi Yifang, NPC deputy.
"China's legal environment is improving. It's much easier to tackle corruption with a strong legal framework," said Shi Xiangpeng, CPPCC Member.
"The much anticipated law on legislature supervision has already been submitted at this session of the NPC. We all look forward to seeing it approved and implemented in the near future," said Chen Kuizui, member of Standing Committee of Ninth NPC.
