Visiting Chinese President Hu Jintao left Kazakhstan on Wednesday for Ulan Bator, Mongolia to continue his first overseas trip as Chinese head of state after winding up his two-day state visit to Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan's State Secretary and Minister of Foreign Affairs Kasymzhomart Tokayev went to the airport to see the Chinese president off.
During his visit in Kazakhstan, Hu held talks with President Nursultan Nazarbayev and the two leaders signed a joint declaration pledging to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
Kazakhstan is the third leg of the Chinese president's trip, which will also take him to Mongolia. Hu arrived Kazakhstan Monday night after participating in the informal South-North leaders dialogue meeting in the French city of Evian.
