| Chinese Health Ministry reports seven new SARS cases on Friday |

There were seven new severe acute respiratory syndrome （SARS） cases and one new death from the disease between 10:00 a.m. May 29 and 10:00 a.m. May 30 on the Chinese mainland, the Ministry of Health reported Friday.
Beijing reported six new SARS cases and one new death from the disease from 10:00 a.m. May 29 to 10:00 a.m. May 30.
The cumulative SARS cases rose to 5,328, while the number of SARS patients discharged from hospitals and the death toll reached 3,250 and 328 respectively.
