Chinese government donates to HK protective suits for SARS treatment

    The air shipment of 88,000 protective suits, loaded May 6 in Hangzhou, the capital of east China's Zhejiang province, arrived in Hong Kong Wednesday afternoon as part of the central government's donation in support of the local fight against the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

    Another shipment of 95,000 protective suits will be loaded on May 10 at Xiaoshan International Airport in the city of Hangzhou for shipment to the special administrative region.

    The suits are produced by a local tourist products manufacturer with materials imported from the US-based Dupont company.
