| Chinese mainland reports 160 new SARS cases |

The Chinese mainland reported 160 new severe acute respiratory syndrome （SARS） cases and nine new deaths between 10:00 a.m. of May 4 and 10:00 a.m. of May 5, according to the Ministry of Health Monday in Beijing.
The cumulative SARS cases on the Chinese mainland rose to 4,280 and death toll from the disease reached 206 by 10:00 a.m. on Monday, said the ministry.
Some 1,433 SARS patients have been discharged from hospitals upon recovery.
Beijing reported 98 new SARS cases and 3 deaths from the disease, the Ministry of Health said.
