World Exposition Shanghai 2010 to be crowned with success: Chinese premier

    Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji said on Tuesday that the World Exposition Shanghai 2010 would be crowned with success and would inject vitality into the development of the cause of international expositions.

    In his letter of thanks to Gilles Noghes, president of the Bureau of International Expositions (BIE), and V.G. Loscertales, secretary general of the BIE, Zhu said that on the occasion of Shanghai's success in its bid for the World Exposition 2010, he wished to express, on behalf of the Chinese government, his sincere thanks to the BIE and its members.

    "I hereby reiterate that the Chinese Government will honor its commitments and make thorough preparations to provide all participating countries with complete facilities and satisfactory services," Zhu said in the letter.

    "I am deeply convinced that with the full support of all Chinese people and the active participation of all other countries in the world, the World Expo Shanghai 2010 will be crowned with success and will inject fresh vitality into the development of the cause of international expositions," he said.
