The economy tops the agenda of a key annual conference between the Hong Kong Special administrative Region and the Guangdong Provincial Government.
Both Hong Kong Chief Executive Tung Chee Hwa and Guangdong Provincial Governor Huang Huahua attend the meeting in the special administrative region. The two delegations are set to discuss ways to strengthen economic and trade co－operation as well as tourism and a bridge project between Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao. The joint conference began in 1998 and has been held every year since then.
