Airlines boom as Taiwan lifts SARS quarantine measures
   CCTV.COM   2003-07-05 13:07:34
Beginning on Friday, air traffic to Taiwan via Hong Kong has been booming.

The Taiwan island airline companies say they will restore airline flights that were temporarily halted due to SARS in the coming week. They say they will also add more flights for this route.

Since the removal of Beijing, Hong Kong and Macao from the WHO's SARS-affected area and travel advisory lists, the Taiwan authorities have lifted its 10-day quarantine on people coming to the island from the three areas.

SARS-related limits on exchanges and business activities across the Straits have also been lifted. The SARS quarantine procedures were introduced on April 28, a little over two months ago.
