| Chinese violinists get their own Stradivari |

It's not often that musicians put their egos on hold and share their star billing, let alone with their instruments！ But that's what a quartet of Chinese musicians did at a concert in the US city of Chicago on Tuesday evening.
At Curtiss Hall, four Chinese violinists including the world－famous Lu Siqing, played Stradivarius violins, on permanent loan from the Stradivari Society.
The Stradivari Society presented the prized instruments to the Chinese musicians after they came out on top of a rigorous selection process among the world's best young violinists. The society held three concerts in China, displaying 11 Italian violins in the country. These four violins were all made in Italy between the 16th and 18th centuries, and are worth a combined total of 9 million US dollars.
Lu Siqing said, "The presentation shows the society's good will and strong support for Chinese musicians. I hope that more will be done to help Chinese musicians to grow and to promote exchanges between Chinese and foreign musicians."
Renowned violinists Lu Siqing and Zhang Liguo, together with two newly－emerged star violinists, Li Chuanyun and Hou Xuanjia, played well－known Chinese numbers "The Butterfly Lovers" and "The Sun Shines on Ta Shi Ku Er Gan" followed by master pieces by Schubert and Bach.
