Palestinian leaders arrive in Paris

Senior Palestinian officials are planning to see Yasser Arafat today, after flying to Paris despite a war of words with the president's wife.

Suha Arafat accuses them of conspiring to usurp power, and in her words trying to "bury Arafat alive". Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei, Foreign Minister Nabil Shaath, acting PLO leader Mahmoud Abbas and parliamentary speaker Rawhi Fattuh originally canceled a visit scheduled for Monday. Meanwhile, doctors at the Percy military hospital said Arafat remains in intensive care unit, but his condition is stable.
