More bird flu cases in Thailand, Vietnam

Thailand has announced the discovery of wild birds infected with the bird flu virus. The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment says researchers have found bird flu virus in three wild egrets. Prapat Panyachatraksa added the virus was also found in two crows in the Bangkok Zoo. The two crows have already died. The minister said Thailand is considering killing these infected birds after verifying the source of the virus. Meanwhile in Vietnam, eight more suspected human infections have been reported. The number of the confirmed and suspected bird flu infections in the country has reached 219. Among them, 36 have already died.
