Two new suspected bird flu outbreaks in China

Two new suspected bird flu outbreaks have been reported in the central and southern provinces of Hubei and Guangdong. Saturday's announcement follows the three confirmed and three suspected outbreaks which had already been reported.

The Ministry of Agriculture says local governments immediately enforced sweeping culls and quarantine measures and sent samples to the Harbin-based National Bird Flu Reference Laboratory. No human infections have been found.
