Chinese Premier begins official visit to Mexico

In Mexico, where Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao is on his first official visit to the country since he took office in March.

The Chinese premier issued a written statement upon his arrival in Mexico City on Friday. Wen said the purpose of his visit is to enhance trust and understanding, as well as deepen cooperation and seek mutual development of the two countries.

During his two-day visit, the Chinese premier is to hold talks with Mexican President Vicente Fox and meet Mexico's congressional leaders.
