Huamo, a kind of colored and decorated steamed buns is a traditional festival food in east China's Shandong Province. The ingredients for Huamo include flour, bean, paste and jujube. The procedure of making Huamo is complex, and knives, scissors and combs are used to cut out different shapes like fish, dragon, fruits, expressing people's hope and blessings. The Huamo making skill has been included in the list of representative items of national intangible cultural heritage.
