China, Russia pledge to boost cooperation

China and Russia have pledged to further inter-regional cooperation, signing a series of deals. Chinese vice president Xi Jinping is in Russia's Primorsky Territory, for his first stop on a five-day official visit to Russia.

The Vice President met with Sergey Mikhaylovich Darkin, Governor of Russia's Primorsky Territory in Vladivostok on Saturday.

He said the reason for his visit was to boost inter-regional co-operation between China and Russia to a wider and deeper level.

He said that conditions were right for such development.
